| Legal Cell |
The members of the cell will be available to guide any member of ISA Delhi branch in case of any mishap which could lead to Legal action against the member. The cell would help the member in obtaining legal aid in such a situation at concessional rates from lawyers specializing in such cases. A register of such lawyers would be prepared and be made available to any member seeking help.
Members of the society would be advised regarding taking professional indemnity insurance from Insurance companies and a discount in the premium could be obtained if at least 100 members of the society join together as a group. A similar discount can also be obtained from private firms which provide legal services to Doctors in cases in Consumer Courts if more than 100 members join as a group. The legal cell will negotiate with insurance firms and legal services companies on behalf of the members of the society.
The legal cell will also aim to educate the members of the society regarding the medico legal aspects and medical defence in their practise. Seminars and talks would be organized and informative mailers would be sent to all members of the society .
